A timely government relief fund has been sanctioned by the central government, providing a significant boost to six states reeling from recent natural calamities.
The Finance Ministry today approved over ₹1,066 crore in financial assistance to Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand.
This crucial aid is earmarked for managing the devastating aftermath of floods and landslides that have disrupted life and caused widespread damage in these regions. The funds will be utilized for immediate rescue and relief operations, as well as for the rehabilitation of affected citizens.
This central government help is an addition to the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), ensuring that state authorities have adequate resources to tackle the crisis effectively.

This financial assistance underscores the government’s commitment to supporting its people during times of distress.
The swift allocation aims to accelerate the process of rebuilding damaged infrastructure and restoring normalcy, providing a much-needed ray of hope to the thousands impacted by the disaster relief efforts
